Cosmetic nail correction
Cosmetic nail correction #01

ARE YOU ASHAMED OF UNSIGHTLY TOENAILS?

WHAT DOES TOENAIL CORRECTION MEAN?

Today's nail problems can be treated with nail cosmetic treatments. This has
become possible by the development of modern corrective materials which offer painless reconstructive nail correction for damaged and infected nails providing a natural and attractive cosmetic result. Nails can be partially or completely restored using a light curing resin built up in layers and since the resin is flexible it adjusts to the movements of the nail and feet and will fit perfectly to your nail/nailbed feeling completely natural. They are semi- permanant and will simply grow out like a natural nail. You can file them, apply nail polish to them and swim and bathe in them, in fact, treat them as you would a natural nail.

IS IT SAFE?

The high quality materials contain no aggressive primers or chemicals, which damage the nail plate and they are odourless. They are hypo-allergenic and there are no specific contra indications to it's usage, it's even safe for diabetics and children.

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE TREATMENT?

Specially effective on nails with a fungal infection. The special resin used helps prevent further spread or development by deprivation of air and moisture, the resin also contains anti-fungal properties. We still recommend treating the infection with a topical solution applied around the artificial nail and under it's free edge.

This treatment is also beneficial for thickened nails, psoriatic nails and nail damage caused by trauma (i.e.sports or accidently ripping part of a nail off) or to those with a complete/partial missing nail due to nail surgery.

HOW LONG WILL THEY LAST?

This is something I can not give an exact answer on as everyone is different. As a guide the more nail there already is on the nailbed the better as the artificial nail has more to adhere to. The shape of the nailbed is also a factor, for instance a deeper nailbed is better than a flat/shallow one etc. Your lifestyle and the way you walk will also contribute to the time they last. I can not make any guarantees how long they will last. An average time would be approximately 2 months with some lasting 4 to 6 months.Unfortunately, there is a very small number that may lose the nail in the first 10 days. However, the nail almost always comes off whole so you will be left with a nail perfectly shaped for your nailbed which you can apply at home using a safe hypoallergenic glue lasting up to a week or so at a time.

POLITE NOTE: THERE ARE QUITE A FEW PEOPLE WHO TRAVEL SOME DISTANCE FOR THIS TREATMENT.PLEASE, PLEASE ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME FOR YOUR JOURNEY,AS THE CLINIC IS USUALLY FULLY BOOKED AND ARRIVING LATE MAY RESULT IN YOUR TREATMENT NOT BEING POSSIBLE.

I regret I am unable to speak to you personally about the 'nail reconstruction'due to the high number of enquires received.I have tried to answer all common questions on this website. If you still feel you have a question that I haven't answered, please leave your question with reception on 01604 722372 and I will try and answer it as soon as I can.
